Results of the election have had
a different effect on everyone.
For the government of Canada, it meant the crash of the immigration website. Being the friendly Canadian that I am, I devised an escape plan for all my buddies south of the boarder.
Days after the election,
Flyers were posted in the city of San Francisco
with links to a webpage.
I designed a pull tab flyer, complete with a kitschy collage with icons of my home, hockey sticks, maples leafs, the Queen's corgis. All the things necessary to call the attention of those who are looking to make the north.

The web page consisted of a simple application.
The requirements are simple, give a brief statement for your reason to admire Canada... without referring to the current political climate.
As I checked back to the postings,
more slips were taken, more traffic to the website, and
yet the inbox remained empty.
If there is something to be learned about this experiment, no matter how many jokes are made, immigration sites crash, or green card marriage proposals are made... at the end of the day we
are all proud to call this nation home. So keep your chins up America, Canada loves you.
